Senior Sean Mosley scored 20 points leading No. 8 St. Frances Academy to a 52-44 victory over No. 15 John Carroll in a MIAA A Conference boys' basketball game in east Baltimore Friday evening. The Panthers remained 1 1/2 games behind No. 1 Mount St. Joseph in the league standings.

Junior forward Isaiah Philmore led all scorers with 22 points for John Carroll (13-8, 7-5). The Patriots will face Baltimore Freedom Academy Saturday afternoon in Bel Air, then host Cardinal Gibbons Tuesday evening. St. Frances hosts St. Maria Goretti in a MIAA A/Baltimore Catholic League contest Sunday afternoon.

Mount St. Joseph 58, Calvert Hall 44
Henry Sims scored 13 points, and junior guard Matt Miller added 12, leading top-ranked Mount St. Joseph past Calvert Hall. Sophomore guard Eric Atkins had 10 for the Gaels (18-2, 10-1), who led 30-18 at halftime.

Sophomore center Jonathan Graham led all scorers with 15 points for Calvert Hall (10-10, 2-5), and sophomore Donya Jackson contributed 11. The Cardinals will play at No. 1x Loyola Blakefield Sunday afternoon while Mount St. Joseph has longtime neighborhood rival Cardinal Gibbons on Wilkens Avenue.

St. John's Catholic 69, Spalding 67, OT
Junior forward Troy King scored 23 points, and senior Trenton Epps added 12 as St. John's Catholic edged Archbishop Spalding in overtime in Severn. Freshman Grandy Glaze had 11, and freshman Matej Delinac scored 10 for the Frederick school (8-10, 3-8), which avenged a two-point loss earlier in the season.

Junior guard Andre Moore led all scorers with 30 points, and sophomore Delmore Howard had 14 for the Cavaliers, who missed 10 of 16 free throws. Spalding will host McDonogh School Sunday afternoon, looking to break an eight-game losing skid. St. John's Catholic hosts No. 9 Towson Catholic.
