ST. PAUL'S SfG WINS IAAM VOLLEYBALL OPENER, 3-1, OVER CHAPELGATE

Webster and Unitas combine for 42 kills as Gators improve to 4-0

St. Paul's School for Girls beat Chapelgate Christian, 3-1 in the first conference
game of the season for both teams.  The Gators dropped the first game, but came roaring back to take the next three in a row (23-25, 25-10, 25-19, 25-10).

The Gators were led by junior star Bailey Webster with 27 kills and five aces, and Jillian Unitas with 15 kills.  Senior setter Rachel Kelley had 48 assists on the evening.

The Yellowjackets took the opening game by a two-point margin, 25-23. It was the first time this season that a team has won a game versus St. Paul�??s.  But the Gators tightened the defense, allowing Chapelgate only 10, 19 and 10 points in the following three games.



The Gators, now 4-0 overall, will play in the North Carroll Tournament this weekend and then face Good Counsel on Monday.

St. Paul's School for Girls JV team also defeated Chapelgate, 25-17 and
25-21, to improve to 4-0 on the season.
