FISHERS – When the competitors teed off for a triangular golf match at Ironwood Golf Club between Carmel, Hamilton Southeastern and Westfield on April 1 they might’ve thought they were a part of an April Fouls Day joke. You see the temperature was in the 40’s, the wind was howling, and the course was absolutely soaked. I can attest to the soggy links, having ruined a new pair of blue jeans while shooting video highlights which can be found a the end of this article!

Well, it was indeed no joke, and through it all fifth-ranked Carmel held up best under the treacherous conditions, posting a winning score of 163 strokes on Ironwood’s par 36 Lakes Course layout. Third-ranked Hamilton southeastern was the runner-up with a score 171 and Westfield finished third with a total score of 186.

Hamilton Southeastern sophomore Wes Bowman took medalist honors, posting a nine- hole total of 37 strokes. Carmel golfers Connor O’Neal and Adam Schneider tied for second, each carding a round of four-over par 40.
