NOBLESVILLE – Paced by senior Kayla McCurdy’s winning time of 18:55, the top-ranked Carmel Greyhounds swept the top three spots at the Hamilton County Cross Country meet and rolled to an easy 45 point victory over runner-up #10 Noblesville on September 2 at White River Elementary School.

Carmel placed all five of its points scoring runners in the top six positions, and won the team title in dominating fashion for retiring head coach Chuck Koeppen.

Noblesville, which finished second with 62 points, was lead by freshman Helen Willman who finished fourth.

Defending state champion, #11 Westfield, took home the third place finishing position with 80 points. Senior Kaitlyn Love was Westfield’s top finisher, placing ninth.
