#1 seed Cubs and #2 Saints to meet for "C" lacrosse title

The top two seeds in C Conference both advanced with semifinal wins yesterday and will meet on Sunday at Loyola College for the C championship.  Top-seed Catholic eliminated St. Vincent Pallotti, 11-5, and #2-seed Baltimore Lutheran ousted Beth Tfiloh, 8-4.
 
The Cubs remained perfect on the season (12-0, 16-0) with an 11-5 win over Pallotti, at Herring Run Park. The game was tight at the half, with Catholic leading only 5-3, but the host Cubs used a 6-2 second-half to pull away and beat the Panthers for the third time.
 
Senior Stephanie Parker led the Cubs with a game-high four goals.  She had plenty of help, as Olivia Baker, Klaudia Furman and Alison Terry added two goals apiece. Stephanie Lawrence was solid in goal with 12 saves.
 
Pallotti (5-7, 7-8) was led by Kersten Moe with two goals.  Fellow senior Stephanie Sillers had a productive game in goal with 17 saves.

Baltimore Lutheran (10-2, 14-3) beat Beth Tfiloh for the third time this season, posting an 8-4 win, in Towson.  Both teams had balanced scoring, but the Saints just had more of it.  Four different players scored one goal each for the Warriors; four different players scored for the Saints, but each had two goals instead of one, thus the four goal difference.
 
The game was tied 3-3 at the half, but the hosts broke it open with a 5-1 second half.  Jordan Certeza, Maija Eshmont, Alora Gullivan and Catherine Kennedy were the Lutheran scorers, and Certeza and Kennedy added two assists each.  Aimee Chotikul had a dozen saves.
 
For the Warriors (7-4, 8-5) Bettie Kruger, Mya Vardi, Arielle Vogelstein and Jenna Weinberg all had a goal, and Vardi assisted on one.  Elizabeth Hoffman made eight saves in goal.
