The Colonials have won three of the last five games in this series, four of the last seven. But Jefferson and Washington-Lee have not met since 2004.

Last week, the Generals vaulted into the win column with a come-from-behind, Homecoming win against the Jaguars.

Washington-Lee scored the final 16 points, including the game-winning, 16-yard touchdown toss by junior quarterback Richard Lewis. Senior receiver Karl Lendenmann reeled in the pass with one hand, tapping his left foot in the end zone as he fell out-of-bounds to lift the Generals to victory.

Jefferson, meanwhile, managed just 68 total yards at two-time defending Northern Region Division 5 champion Stone Bridge. The Bulldogs allowed minus-35 yards in the first quarter.

General coach Josh Shapiro jokes about the constant rotation of three quarterbacks: Lewis, senior athlete Anthony Taylor and sophomore Keesean Braithwaite. But the trio combined for 7-for-15 passing, 126 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions last week.

Though skewed by an 83-yard touchdown pass from Lewis to senior tight end Erick Needles, the numbers are still impressive.

Similar execution will bode well for Washington-Lee. Also, it needs to get pressure on Jefferson sophomore quarterback Kevin Karn.

Karn, if given time, can pick teams apart with his accuracy. He has thrown just one interception in 67 pass attempts this year.

The Generals would be well-served to lean on Taylor's legs if they grab an early lead.

Shortening the game and keeping Karn on the bench, would all but guarantee a second-straight win for Rosslyn's finest.
