Not accustomed to being overlooked, defending MIAA A Conference basketball champion Towson Catholic has been just that since starting the year at 1-5 against a brutal non-conference schedule.  The Owls, however, are suddenly relevant again after routing St. Maria Goretti, 61-37, last night in Hagerstown.

It was TC's fourth straight win and the Owls, who are a solid 3-1 in the MIAA A Conference, have now battled back to the .500 mark at 7-7.

It was a balanced offensive effort for the Owls, who were led by 14 points from senior Brandon Greene and 10 from LeShon Edwards.  The Owls hammered the Gaels early, as they burst out to a 34-15 first half lead and pulled away further, for the impressive 24-point win.

John Dhuring and Kevin Breslin combined for 25 points to lead Goretti (6-8).
