10/06/2009 -- Towson's badminton squad posted another win today, shutting out the Perry Hall Gators, 11-0, in league action. Towson looks to be headed to the county championships for the fourth year in a row.
"If we can get by Owings Mills and Loch Raven, we should be playing on October 26th for the county title" said Coach Cary Sonneborn, who has the team playing its best badminton of the season. "We had a real good test against Pikesville last week and with this win, we are looking very sharp for Western Tech on Thursday and the big rivalry game with Dulaney next week."
Towson is looking like the team to beat as they go into the final part of their schedule. Depending on how Dulaney does against Parkville and Eastern Tech, the Towson-Dulaney match on October 14th might be a preview of the county championship game.
