The Western Tech Wolverines are under a pair of first-year co-coaches in Abree Johnson and Betsy Lapee.

Leading the Wolverines is midfielder Jessica Beck, who is bound for University of Pennsylvania and will play lacrosse there.

"We are fortunate to have a core group of returning players who are dedicated to not only developing their own skills, but also in aiding in the development of the newer players' skills," Johnson wrote in an e-mail to DigitalSports.

"As coaches, Betsy Lappe, Jen Martinez, and I are looking to build a cohesive program," Johnson said, "as well as strengthening the versatility of each player."

Johnson added that, "it is noteworthy to mention that of our 18 girl varsity roster, eight of those girls carry above a 3.4 GPA, and four of them, above 3.6."
