Fellow seniors Allison Behringer and Hayley Rausch notched four goals each to spark the Falcons' 20-9 victory over Westminster in the state semifinals at North Carroll High School on Saturday.
Senior goalkeeper Jenna Wadsworth finished with four saves and led a Falcon defense that held the Owls (13-5) to a single goal by Jocelyn Jamison to go into halftime 6-1.
Severna Park's spread offense which dominated many opponents this year, resulted in scoring output from Katie Barranco (two goals, three assists), Kendal Pittinger (two goals, two assists) and Jaci Gassaway (goal, two assists).
Westminster's goal keeper, sophomore Lindsey Nichols turned away 11 Severna Park shots, both in one-on-one situations and shots from the free position.
Jamison along with Beth Jankusa tallied hat tricks for Westminster by combining with Ashleigh Rohrback, who added one goal to her six assists. Emily Cody contributed not only with a goal and an assist but excellent team play and Amber Nichols tough play inside the 12 meter arc netted a goal.
Severna Park (19-0), the defending state champion, will meet Catonsville (12-6) -- an 11-6 winner over Wootton -- in the state finals at 6 p.m. Wednesday at UMBC. The Falcons are on the verge of capping off their second undefeated season in a row.
