LAUREN CLARKE, SO., G, COLTS NECK Clarke tore apart the school record book along with the rest of the Cougars as one of the top scoring guards in the Shore Conference. She averaged 15.7 points, 3.4 assists and 2.4 steals per game, setting the school record for 3-pointers in a season with 60 and free throws made with 130. A clutch foul shooter, she made 81.8 percent of her free throws for a team that went 28-2, setting school records for wins in a season, winning percentage and longest winning streak (26 games). Clarke also now has the school single-season points record with 472, passing the mark set last season by teammate Brooke Hampton. Clarke's 113 career 3-pointers in only two seasons are also a school record, and her seven 3-pointers in one game is a school record. The Cougars also set school records for points in one game (79), most 3-pointers made in a game (12), most points in a season (1,664) and highest scoring average (55.5). Clarke also had 20 points in the school's first Shore Conference Tournament championship victory against Red Bank Catholic and also helped the Cougars win a share of their first Class A North title. She also is an underrated defender in addition to being arguably the most lethal spot-up shooter in the conference.
