Deep Run tied Maggie Walker GS 2-2 on Tuesday night.
Both teams came into the match with only one loss and were looking for their first Colonial District win.
It was the Wildcats who would jump onto the scoreboard first with an early lead.
Sophomore forward Rachel Powers scored for Deep Run midway through the first half when she was able to win a hard tackle at the top of the box and send a shot into the back of the net putting the Wildcats up 1-0.
In the second half, the Green Dragons rallied to score two goals and take the lead.
Junior midfielder Kelly Diaz tied the game at 1-1 when she dribbled past multiple Deep Run defenders and hit a beautiful shot to the far post beating Deep Runs goalie.
With nine minutes left in the match, senior midfielder April Price took the lead for the Green Dragons when she blasted a low hard shot into the right corner of the net putting Maggie Walker up 2-1.
"It was a well fought game and we played good defense," Price said. "In the second half we got our momentum back."
The Wildcats answered back with just three minutes left in regulation.
Powers hit a hard shot to the near post that beat Maggie Walker goalkeeper Cheta Emba scoring her second goal of the game and sending it into overtime.
In overtime, both teams pushed numbers forward in an attempt to get the winning goal but were unable to finish as the game ended knotted up.
