7-TOUCHDOWNS….6-PASSING, 1 RUSHING.
THOSE WERE THE NUMBERS FOR SAINT LOUIS QUARTERBACK JEREMY HIGGINS, IN A 55-28 WIN OVER KAMEHAMEHA THIS PAST THURSDAY…A WIN THAT SETS UP A POTENTIAL “BLOCKBUSTER SHOWDOWN” IN THE I-L-H, FOR THE 8-AND-1 CRUSADERS.
JOHN VENERI HAS MORE ON HIGGINS…THE K-H-O-N-2 ATHLETE OF THE WEEK.
It was a much needed win over Kamehameha and Saint Louis quarterback Jeremy higgins knew it.
3 of which were all over the 100 yard mark with Trevor Mau hauling in 153 yards on 5 receptions 2 were scores…..billy Stutzmann…a future UH Warrior…136 yards and a touchdown…and jordan fukumoto 107 yards receiving and two scores..
In all higgins put up 43 passes …Completing 29 for 485 yards 6 touchdowns…and he also ran one in as well…
Higgins has a lot of help…his brother cameron…a former crusader.. plays for Weber state…
And first year Head Coach John Hao was a saint louis signal caller during the crusaders’ run of 14-straight prep bowl and state championships in the 80’s and 90’s.
Next week the crusaders face punahou in a highly-anticipated game that could decide the ILH division 1 champion…they have an extra week to prepare…but the last time the crusaders came off of a bye week…Saint Louis suffered an upset loss at the hands of iolani…but Higgins says they’ve learned from that loss and are dedicated to not letting it happen again.
