OWINGS MILLS IMPROVES TO 9-0

Baltimore County and regional champs Avi Friedman (103) and county runner-up and regional and state champion Tony Mack (160) each nailed down pins to improve to 13-0, and, 14-0, respectively, as Owings Mills routed county rival Eastern Tech, 56-14, in Tuesday night's dual meet.
 
Kevin Dufour (112) earned a technical fall victory to improve to 14-0, and regional champ Cody Rosen-Stone (140) pinned his opponnent to improve to 12-2.

Julio Trujillo (285) also rose to 12-2 with a pin, helping the Eagles to improve their overall dual meet record to 9-0.

Also pinning were the Eagles' regional runner-up Mitch Barker (145) and Ja'twan Murdock (171), with a technical fall from Hassan Edmondson (152), a major decision from Brian Farbman (119), and decisions from former JV champion Luke Harris (135) and Trent Carr (189).

Fourth-place state finisher, Dustin Peddicord (130) scored a major decision for the Mavericks.

Both teams will be gearing up for this weekend's Franklin Tournament, which will feature Archbishop Curley, Urbana of Frederick County, North Carroll of Carroll County and Northeast of Anne Arundel County, which are ranked Nos. 4, 10, 11, and, 18, respectively, in The DigitalSports-Maryland State Wrestling Association Top 20.
