The Shore Conference Tournament is a little over a week away and pretty soon these rankings will get thrown out the window.  For now, we cannot deny the Jags recent dominance and we had to move them back to the top...

SHORE CONFERENCE TEAM RANKINGS

(Click on individual teams to see video from that school)

  1. Jackson Memorial - They’re running on all cylinders right now and we just can’t keep them out of the top spot any longer.  Had a great weak by beating Toms River East and Camden Catholic.  Will face Eastern on Friday night and then get ready for the Shore Conference Tournament.
  1. Long Branch - No disrespect by dropping them to number two- we still like this team.  Beat previously unbeaten Raritan by a wide margin.  Will most likely be undefeated heading into the close-approaching Shore Conference Tournament.
  1. Brick Memorial - Very impressive in a big win over Ocean Township.  Will head up to Minisink Valley in New York next weekend for a tournament, which will be a good tune-up for the Shore Conference Tournament and post-season.
  1. Howell - Started their week by beating Marlboro and finished it off by beating Point Boro in a battle of unbeaten teams.  They’re another team that will most likely enter the Shore Conference Tournament with an unblemished record.
  1. SouthernHad a great Saturday by beating Pinelands, Bergen Catholic, and then Kittatinny.  Will have two big matches this week with Ocean Township on Wednesday and South Plainfield on Saturday.

  1. Point Boro - Suffered their first loss of the season in their showdown with Howell.  They will look to rebound this week with several matches, highlighted by Central Regional on Wednesday and Wall during a quad meet on Friday.
  1. Ocean - Beat a game Wall squad on Wednesday, and then lost to Brick Memorial on Saturday.  They’ll face a solid Southern Regional team on Wednesday.
  1. Raritan - Their undefeated run ended with a loss to unbeaten Long Branch this past weekend.  Will take on Toms River North on Wednesday and Toms River East on Saturday.
  2. TR North - Got through this week unscathed with victories over Brick Township, Manchester, and Old Bridge.  Interesting match-up with Pinelands on Wednesday.

  3. Wall - Lost to Ocean Township on Wednesday.  Will face Point Boro in a quad meet Friday night.
