Jack Doyle scored three times and had two assists, Davey Emala had two each in goals and assists, Greg McBride scored three times and Marcus Holman had a goal and two assists as Gilman overcame a two-goal halftime deficit with 12 second half scores in Friday's 14-8 victory over Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference rival Boys' Latin.
Matt Holman made 12 saves for the Greyhounds, who are ranked No. 1 in the DigitalSports Top 20 and who have gone on a scoring spree in a big game for the fourth time this season.
The Greyhounds rose to 5-0 in league play, and, 12-0 overall, while the Lakers, ranked 10th, slipped to 2-3, 10-4.
The Greyhounds trailed, 2-0, in an earlier 10-7 victory over Georgetown Prep of Rockville during which Gilman scored nine unanswered goals.
And on the way to winning, 11-8, over Haverford of Philadelphia, the Greyhounds scored 10 times in the second half -- six times in the third quarter -- after having trailed, 4-1, at the intermission.
And on Tuesday, the Greyhounds trailed, 4-1, early against Severn, tied the game at 4-4 at halftime and scored 10 second half goals to win, 14-10, over the Admirals.
Patrick Foster had two each in goals and assists for the Lakers, who also received a goal and two assists from Christian Walsh, two goals from Jack Rice, and one goal and one assist from Wells Stanwick.
The Greyhounds face defending MIAA A Conference champion Loyola, ranked fourth in the DigitalSports Top 20, on Tuesday.
