The MIAA will crown its tennis champions next week at McDonogh School. Opening round play will take place Monday and Tuesday afternoon at 3:15 and 4 p.m., with semifinal matches on Wednesday afternoon at 3:15. The finals will take place Thursday.
In the A Conference, McDonogh’s Alexander Centenari and Alex Sidney are the top seed in the Nos. 1 and 2 singles, respectively. Gilman School’s Alec Hoblitzell is No. 1 in No. 3 singles.
Gilman will have top seeds in Nos. 1 and 2 doubles with Tyler Hoblitzell and Brad Millison, and Jay Barrett and Will Faison. In the B Conference, Glenelg Country School’s Ryan Kent (No. 1) and Will Garrett (No. 2) are top singles’ seeds along with Julia Payne from Key School (No. 3).
Marc Gallant and Mike Harrington of Key are the No. 1 doubles’ top seed. Archbishop Spalding’s Stephen Harting and Pat Joyce are top seed for No. 2 doubles.
