High School stars
from McDonogh, Loyola Blakefield and Calvert Hall will be playing for
the United States Development Academy National Club Soccer Championship
on Friday night in California, on ESPN2 at 11 p.m. EST. McDonogh's
Chris Agorsor, the Gatorade National Soccer Player of the Year, will be
joined by his former Eagle teammates Jake Levin, Andrew Bulls and
Tommy Caso when they take the field for the Baltimore Casa Mia Bays club
team against Los Angeles.
Mike Deasel and Steve LeVine from Loyola and Calvert Hall's Christian
Barreiro are also performing at a high level for Coach Steve Nichols'
squad. Nichols led the Eagles to the MIAA A Conference Championship last
fall.
Casa Mia defeated the Chicago Fire, 4-1, Westchester, New York, 3-0, and the Colorado Rush, 2-1, to reach the finals.
Caso has been outstanding in the nets for Nichols.
Agorsor scored all four goals against Chicago, and he and Bulls tallied
in the win over New York. Bulls also creased the net in the Colorado
win.
