The last two unbeaten MIAA B Conference ice hockey teams clashed on Monday in Easton, as Saints Peter & Paul hosted St. Paul's in a first-place battle.

The visiting Crusaders, who are enjoying an outstanding season, scored two goals in each of the first two periods and added a fifth goal early in the third period to build a 5-0 lead on their way a 5-2 win.

St. Paul's (7-0-0, 5-0-0) is not only undefeated in the B Confernce, but it owns convincing victories over the top two teams in the A Conference - Calvert Hall and Mount St. Joseph - and has outscored its opponents by a combined margin of 57-8.

Saints Peter & Paul (6-1-0, 3-1-0) also came in with impressive credentials, with an undefeated record and a win over Loyola of the A Conference.

In this showdown, Ty Kapp stopped 23 or 25 shots in goal for the Crusaders and  Jack Buron led the offense with two goals and an assist.  Pat Powderly also had a big day with one goal and three assists James Tautkus had three assists.

In additon, David Bruce also earned a game puck for an exceptional game defensively.
