This season the Jaguars have continued their reign as Ocean County's powerhouse team with their seventh division title in 10 years.

DigitalSports: What were your preseason expectations? 

Coach Johnson: We wanted to do well in A South and in the Conference and in states. In the beginning of the season, it was a little sketchy because I wasn’t sure. But, we’ve had a great season so far and I am very proud of them though we still have a lot coming up and in front of us. We have a big challenge with the SCT, especially if we make it past the first two games, whether we make it to Rumson or TRN, it will be tough.

DigitalSports: Who were your key players and best strengths?

Coach Johnson: Our strength is that our girls feel it doesn’t matter who gets credit. We have an extremely unselfish team and this is one of the most unselfish teams I’ve coached in a long time.

DigitalSports: What was your pivotal moment of season?

Coach Johnson: We’ve built upon each game since our first game of the season where we lost to Holy Cross. After having a bad first half, we hung in with them in the second half and I think things clicked for the team from there.
 
DigitalSports: Who was your most improved/biggest surprise player?

Coach Johnson: Freshmen Kim Clemmer. I knew she would be an impact on our team but she has definitely been a bigger impact than expected on our defensive end. It’s not easy to be a freshmen and starting in this program because of the reputation we have had throughout the years. She makes her presence known on
