The Monacan Chiefs defeated the Manchester Lancers 16-0 in Thursday night’s game.
Both teams were excellent on the defensive end as the game remained scorless after four innings.
In the fifth, the Chiefs came out swinging knocking in several runs against the Lancers.
Manchester rotated multiple pitchers at the mound in the fifth to try to stop the Chiefs rally but they could not stop the bleeding as Monacan would win the game 16-0.
Monacan’s Megan Williams pitched a great game for the Cheifs as she threw 13 strikeouts and only allowed one hit.
