Position: Forward/Midfield     Year: Junior

Performance: Diaz scored three goals in two Maggie Walker wins. She had one goal in a 3-1 victory over St. Gertrude, and two goals as the Green Dragons took down Lee-Davis 5-3. Diaz has five goals this season.

Best trait: "Supporting my team and finishing for my team."

Goal: "To have a good season. I think we have a really good team this year. We can go pretty far."

Family affair: "I've played since I was 4. My brother [Walter] and sister [Terri] played for Maggie Walker." Walter now plays at Harvard where their father, also Walter, played. Terri is playing club ball at Stanford. So where is Kelly headed? "I don't know. I'm keeping my options open. I'm looking Ivy and local."

Credentials: Diaz plays with FC Richmond with other region stars like James River's Erin Liberatore and Aubrie Ewell, Monacan's Hallie Rogers and Megan Grubs of New Kent. She also has played on the ODP state team and the Region I squad.

Funniest teammate: "Rena Hamzi because she's easy to talk to and jokes around a lot."

Favorite subject: "Science, physics and math."

Invite any three people to dinner: "Barack Obama, Mia Hamm and Albert Einstein."

Something you wouldn't know: "I like skiing. I just skied for my first time this year."

On her team: "We have a lot of good seniors. April Price and Amarachi Eseonu. We lost a lot of seniors last year, including my sister. But we've gained some good freshman like Cassie Turnage and Cheta Emba, our keeper. I think we're doing pretty good. Every practice we're getting better."
