Jason Meade had his Confederates out at last week's Nike SPARQ Training. That's just the beginning.
Former Highland Springs defensive coordinator
Jason Meade, now Lee-Davis' head football coach, is making things happen
before the season for the Confederates.
Meade and assistant
Charlie Crittendon have two events specifically for football players coming up in May.
The first is the Drive Stop Football Skills Camp from May 21-23 from 5-7 p.m. at Lee-Davis High School.
The cost is $30 per player and the camp is open to rising ninth graders to 12th graders. Payment and registration form (below) is due Friday, May 16.
The other event is a unique one. It's called the Drive Stop Football Push-Pull Team Competition, set for Saturday, May 31 at L-D's gymnasium.
The event is open to all area high-school teams and consists of 10 players per squad competing in the bench and dead lift. This will give the big guys a shot to shine as most competitions are suited for the skill players.
Meade says four teams have already signed up for the competition, but time is still available for others. The cost is $275 per team for the AAU meet.
