Laine Denton will return to Hanover next season to see if he can improve upon a tremendous junior year.
Laine Denton is excelling where ever he plays in the infield.
After playing first base his freshman and sophomore years, Denton moved to third to begin this past season before finally finding a home at second.
All that moving around did not effect his play though as the junior had a great season at the plate and in the field for
Hanover.
A three-year starter that works as hard as anybody in the Central Region, Denton played phenomenal defense and hit in the middle of the lineup.
The first-team all-region selection helped the Hawks win the Capital District regular season and tournament titles. Hanover's post season came to an end in region quarterfinals to back-to-back state champion James River.
With fellow Spring Sensation pitcher
Jake Mayers also returning next season, Denton and the Hawks should be ready for another playoff run during his senior year.
