Will White, Trinity Episcopal
* Went 22 for 38 for 225 yards and five touchdowns, including the game-winner, as the Titans defeated St. Christopher's.
September 3 -
Meghan Meleski, Mills Godwin
* Had 30 assists, eight blocks and four aces as the Eagles took care of Atlee.
August 27 -
Hailey Brooks, Atlee
* Had 20 assists, eight kills and eight aces as the Raiders topped Cosby in girls volleyball August 25.
August 20 -
Kevin Clarke, Cosby
* Set an 18-hole school record, shooting a 3-under 69 at Spring Creek Golf Club in Gordonsville. He held the previous record at 3-over.
August 13 -
Tanner Foutz, Atlee
* Shot a 72 to post the low score at the Skyhawk Invitational at Lake Chesdin Country Club.
August 6 -
Travis McKie, Boo Williams
* McKie, John Marshall's star rising senior basketball player, averaged 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead Boo Williams to a second-place finish in the AAU 17-and-under national tournament.
McKie committed to Wake Forest this past spring.
July 30 -
Bradley Shaban, South Richmond Post 137
* Shaban went 3 for 3 with three doubles and a walk in the opening game of the American Legion state tournament. Post 137 went on to win the tourney in four games.
July 23 -
Rico Ferguson, ASSIST
* Ferguson, a 2009 L.C. Bird graduate, scored 19 points for ASSIST in the Tri-City Summer League.
July 16 -
Owen Beightol, West End Post 361
* Beightol went bananas in a 21-6 win over Glen Allen Post 244. He was 4 for 6 at the plate with five RBI, a home run, two doubles and four runs.
July 9 -
Hunter Ackerman, South Richmond Post 137
* Ackerman entered a tie game in the eighth inning and struck out five batters in two innings of work, giving up no hits or runs.
Post 137 went on to defeat another terrific Legion team, Colonial Heights Post 284 Pirates, 6-5. Ackerman got the win.
July 2 -
Taylor Sandefur, Ashland Post 206
* Sandefur stroked a grand slam and had five RBI in Ashland's win over Lakeside Post 125. The Western Carolina-bound player has led Post 206 to a 7-4 record.
June 25 -
Chris Ayers, South Richmond Post 137
* Ayers is hitting .671 on the young American Legion season. He went 11 for 17 in the first two weeks.
South Richmond, who finished third in the nation last year, is 7-2 through June 26.
June 18 -
Lauren Vinson* Vinson pitched 21 innings over the weekend to push her travel softball team to the national tournament in Las Vegas, NV.
