** The first three innings were a pitchers' duel with the teams locked in a scoreless tie. In the top of the fourth, Atlee got a runner on after being hit by a pitch and two batters later Randi Farrar doubled to left center to knock in the games' first run. In the fifth inning the Stallions had a small rally to go ahead in the game. Senior shortstop Meaghan Hunt reached base first on an Atlee error, then two batters later junior outfielder Karly Thompson singled to centerfield. Stallion junior catcher Michelle Boynton followed with a hit to the Atlee shortstop, who made an arrant throw to first base that allows Hunt to score to tie the game at 1. South County sophomore outfielder Julia Kastner then pounded an RBI single to right field that allowed Thompson to score what proved the game-winning run.
