Hon. Mention — Totow Buries Receiver
In a game full of hard hits, this punishing tackle by Herndon defensive back Abi-Drey Totow was the most vicious. Hands down.

Hon. Mention — Fridley, Believe it or Not
With :21 seconds left in the first half and the score tied, Woodson senior quarterback Connor Reilly lobbed a pass towards the end zone that junior Paul Fridley pulled in for a brilliant 20-yard touchdown grab.

No. 10 — Cortez Taylor Wearing His Chuck Taylors
T.C. Williams senior running back Cortez Taylor had 183 all-purpose yards on his first three touches, including a 60-yard touchdown run and a 90-yard kickoff return for a score.

No. 9 — Potts Calling the Kettle Black
With all Centreville eyes on Annandale junior receiver Melvin Robinson, Atoms senior wideout Rob Potts was making the eye-popping catches. This 35-yard, fourth-quarter diving reception set up the game-winning score.

No. 8 — Stickford INT Showcase
Lake Braddock senior defensive back Thomas Stickford had three interceptions Friday at Langley, including one he returned 32 yards for a score.

No. 7 — Beiro 290 to Snap Skid
McLean senior running back Riley Beiro had 290 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries in a 44-14 road win over Washington-Lee Thursday. The victory snapped a region-long 12-game losing streak for the Highlanders.

No. 6 — Ferrufino Balancing Act
The result may already have been decided, but Falls Church senior wide receiver Amilicar Ferrufino still had time for this amazing 65-yard catch and run for a touchdown.

No. 5 — A Rose is a Rose is a Rositano
Stone Bridge senior Spenser Rositano had a hand in three decisive plays against Westfield. He scored on a one-yard touchdown run, was on the receiving end of a 66-yard wide-receiver-pass touchdown and blocked the would-be game-tying field goal with under a minute remaining.

No. 4 — Four Scores a Couple Days Ago
Idreis Augustus — Lee senior Idreis Augustus started his Lancer career in style, with a pair of both rushing (8, 80) and receiving touchdowns (32, 63) in a 38-6 road win over Wakefield.
Jared Velasquez — Robinson junior Jared Velasquez carried 22 times for 114 yards and three scores in the second half alone. All together, he had 32 rushes for 138 yards and four touchdowns against T.C. Williams

No. 3 — Big Rig Punt Return
Hayfield senior Rayshawn Rigans returned this punt into the pile and somehow escapes, bounces outside and ran 68 yards for a touchdown.

No. 2 — Oh’sick!
Third-year Herndon starting quarterback Zack Ozycz had a disastrous snap in the second quarter and faced nine Jefferson defenders with no blockers in sight. But Ozycz broke containment and scampered 63 yards for an impossible touchdown.

No. 1 — Forgot About ‘Dre
Facing 4th-and-10 on the Chantilly 24-yard line with :08 seconds left down by four points, South County senior quarterback Aaron Andrews found senior receiver Andre Simmons for the game-winning touchdown to cap a thrilling season-opener.
