On February 28, the Cardinal Gibbons cricket team hosted Gladstone Dainty, the President of the United States of America Cricket Association, which is the sport's governing body in America. Dainty made the trip to watch what perhaps is the first entirely American-born cricket team to be fielded in generations. Dainty told the Gibbons cricketers that one of the goals of the USACA is to move cricket into the mainstream of American sports, and that they are partners in that mission. "We are all on this journey together," he said.
