The Brebeuf Regional was the most difficult in the State of Indiana featuring eight of the top 25 ranked teams in the state.  Carmel ran a solid race to win with 68 points.  Qualifying for next week's Carmel Semi-State included North Central (89), Noblesville (90), Hamilton Southeastern (114) and Zionsville (122).  Other teams included Lawrence North (144), Westfield (151), Cathedral (157) Lawrence Central (181) and Brebeuf (237).

Winning individually was North Central's Futsum Zeinasellasse in a fine time of 15:19.3 for the somewhat wet and slow course.  Placing in the Top 15 and also qualifying for Semi-State were Cathedral's William O'Herren (2nd in 15:43.8), Westfield's Connor Martin (3rd in 15:44.7), Carmel's Tom Ohlman (4th in 15:50.2) and Chris Walden (5th in 15:55.3), North Central's Connor Geshay (6th in 16:02.0) and Filimon Adhanom (7th in 16:06.3), Berbeuf's Jason Hoard (8th in 16:08.5), Hamilton Southeastern's Joe Ebling (9th in 16:10.1), Noblesville's Collin Ginebaugh (10th in 16:11.7), Carmel's Dan Porter (11th in 16:12.1), Guerin Catholic's Kent Garrett (12th in 16:13.2), Lawrence North's Joshua Roche (13th in 16:14.0), Noblesville's Cody Marowski (14th in 16:14.4) and Zionsville's Samuel Berger (15th in 16:17.0).

 

The teams will now advance to next Saturday’s Carmel Semi-State where #1 ranked Columbus North will be added to the mix.
