Ben Cohee totaled two goals and seven assists, and Matt Reymann had four goals and four assists for Catonsville, which lost, 8-7, to Mount St. Joseph of the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association's A Conference, but defeated defending Class 2A-1A state champion, Winters Mill of Carroll County, 8-3.

"Against St. Joe, we got off to a slow start, down 4-1 after the first quarter," said Catonsville coach Jeff Mohler. "The score was 8-4 in the fourth quarter, when we scored 3 unanswered to cut it to 8-7 with 3 minutes left."

The Comets were "up two men up with under two minutes to go, and we had a few shots on goal to tie it up. Their goalie made some good saves, but we also took some questionable shots," Mohler said. "It was a shame to lose that game, but we have a lot to build on.  We have a long way to go and a lot of work to do to compete in our league, but the potential is there."
