Justin Whittington lost his no-hitter and his shutout in
the seventh inning, but Catonsville held on to defeat a resilient Owings Mills
team 4-1 on Wednesday in Baltimore County League action.
Koby Sarubin led
off the top of the seventh with a double and later came around to score, but
Whittington was able to finish his one-hitter for his second victory of the
season.
Whittington had 11 strikeouts
and also added a single at the plate. The Comets (7-2) were paced by two RBI's from Kevin Bradshaw.
The Eagles (6-4) face Parkville on
Thursday, as the Comets travel to Overlea, also on Thrusday.
