The Carmel Varsity Baseball Team defeated Hamilton Hts. by the score of 9 to 1.  The Hounds exploded for 6 runs in the top of the first inning to set the tone offensively.  Senior Alex Gordon got the starting nod and tallied 10 strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings of work.  Junior LHP Brian Bolin pitched a 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief striking out 4 and Sophomore Beau Bowen closed out the game in the bottom of the 7TH inning striking out the side.  Offensively, the Greyhounds were lead by Senior David Gillihan 3 for 4 with an RBI, Junior Conrad Gregor 2 for 5 with a double, and Senior Jared Kuhn with a triple and two RBIs. The Greyhounds overall record is 1 win and 0 losses.  The next game will be tonight against Hamilton County and Sectional opponent Westfield at 5pm at Hartman Field.
