Senior Brandon Dorsett collect three hits in 7 at-bats.

Ben Davis opened the season earlier in the week with a home victory against Indianapolis Northwest 17-0 in 5-innings; however, this was truly the season opener for Terre Haute North. The Patriots had 20 hits during the doubleheader. Ben Davis picked up 13 hits on the night. Brandon Dorsett earned the complete-game win on the mound in game one. Junior J.T. Bailey suffered the loss in game two.
