The Southport girls cross-country team finished off their season last Saturday, Oct. 24th at the Franklin Central semi-state meet in Carmel, Indiana. The Cards finished in 13th place out of the 20 competing schools.
Junior Emily Odle led Southport in 52nd place with a time of 20:23. Odle was trailed by senior Nicolette Crouch who ran for 56th place in a time of 20:29. The ladies struggled in the meet, but Head coach Nathan Fishel is very happy with how the season turned out.
“This team has been one of my favorite to coach because they cared, and tried to be as good as I thought they could be,” said Fishel. “This team was fun to coach because they were low maintenance and hard workers.”
