Clinton Central captured the school’s seventh consecutive
Hoosier Heartland Conference girls track title Tuesday evening at Carroll. The
Bulldogs outpaced second place Clinton Prairie 132-123. Carroll finished third
with 84, Lafayette CC 82 followed by Tri-Central and Rossville.
Clinton Central senior Any Walker was the star of the evening.
She took top honors in four events. Walker
set a meet record in the 400 meters, winning in 1:01.23. She also broke the
tape in the 100, 200, and as the anchor for Clinton Central’s 1600 meter relay
team. Monica Sanders controlled the throwing events for the Bulldogs. She
captured titles in both the shot put and the discus.
