Clinton Central won its third consecutive Hoosier Heartland
Conference title in boys track Tuesday evening at Carrill. The Bulldogs
outpaced second place Clinton Prairie 172 to 140.5. They did it despite Prairie
winning eight of the sixteen events in the meet. Central did win two relay
events and five events overall.
The only multiple winner for the Bulldogs was Shane Heidt
who took the top spot in both the 800 and 1600 Meters. The overall star of the
meet was Clinton Prairie’s Nick Seager who captured four events. Seager won the
100 Meters, 110Meter Hurdles, 300 Meter Hurdles, and the Long Jump. He set a
new HHC record in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 39.67 seconds.
