Clinton Central carried the banner for the Hoosier Heartland Conference in girls’ track sectional action Tuesday evening. The Bulldogs finished fifth in the Lafayette sectional. Other scores found Carroll in seventh, Clinton Prairie in eighth, Lafayette Central Catholic in ninth, and Rossville in 12th. Meanwhile at the Noblesville sectional, Tri-Central wound up 11th on the day.

 
Here is a complete summary of how the Hoosier Heartland schools fared.
 

CLINTON CENTRAL—Advanced one individual and one relay team

   The Bulldogs’ Amy Walker continued her fine season with a third place finish in the 400Meters. Clinton Central also advanced their 4 X 400 Relay Team with a third place performance.

 

CLINTON PRAIRIE---Advanced one individual and one relay team

   Kelly Mathews is the sole gopher to advance with a fourth place finish in the 100 Meters. The CP 4 X 100 Relay Team will move on as a result of a fourth place finish.

 

CARROLL—advanced two individuals

   The Cougars received a third place performance from Jaimi McCarter in the 300 Meter Hurdles as well as a fourth in the 1600 Meters from Ashley Bordner

 

LAFAYETTE CENTRAL Catholic—Advanced one individual and one relay team.

   The Knights’ will be sending Rebecca Diener to regional action following her 4th in the 300 Meter Hurdles They also qualified their 4 X 800 Meter Relay Team which finished third in that event.

 

ROSSVILLE---Did not advance

 

TRI-CENTRAL---Did not advance
