Dulles District Player of the Year to Play Hoops at Division II Pittsburg-Johnstown

(June 10, 2008) - Dulles District girls basketball Player of the Year Samantha Akers has signed to play college basketball at Division II University of Pittsburg at Johnstown.

The Loudoun County High School senior led the district in scoring this past seaqson with 15.6 points per game. She also averaged 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.0 assists per game. The Lady Cats play in the WVIAC.
