Sagamore Conference wrestlers participated in arguably the toughest semi-state in Indiana Saturday at New Castle. Included in the field were grapplers from state ranked teams such as Cathedral, Perry Meridian, Lawrence North, and New Palestine. After a grueling day, three conference wrestlers fought their way into next weekend�s state finals.

 

The first to ink his name on the state finals roster was Brock Samsrott of North Montgomery at 125lbs.. Samsrott finished third on the day. The other two wrestlers to make it through are from Southmont. Blake Moore finished third at 152lbs., while Nick Hodges continued his undefeated season by capturing the title at 189lbs..

 

State final action will begin Friday evening at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
