Paul Smallman fired in four goals and added an assist, while Zach Bruce scored twice and dished out three assists to lead Chapelgate Christian to a 12-9 win over Annapolis Area Christian in the Yellowjackets MIAA B Conference lacrosse debut, yesterday in Annapolis.
Chapelgate (3-1 overall), which appeared in seven consecutive C Conference championship games, winning the last two, is now led by Richard Loper, who has taken the reigns from longtime head coach Darrell Drown.
Chapelgate opened the season with strong effort against Friends of the ultra-powerful MIAA A Conference, losing 8-5.
In yesterday's contest, the Yellowjackets also received one goal each from Grant Shipley and Logan Skovron.
