3/22/08        Virginia Beach Blast Tournament    vs. Kempsville Chiefs

The Cougars opened their season in Va. Beach with a victory over Kempsville, 6-3. Senior Dylan Porter earns the win, pitching 5 strong innings and sophomore Mike Marsh receives the save completing the last inning. Left fielder Marsh and senior right fielder Zach Shoemaker provided the offense, each having 3 hits a piece and a combined 3 RBI. Senior Chris Fleig hit a lead-off home run in the 5th inning.
