3/22/08        Virginia Beach Blast Tournament        vs. Frank Cox Falcons

The Cougars sweep their weekend in Va. Beach by defeating the Falcons 3-2. Senior Justin Robey's bunt single and stolen base in the top of the 7th inning set up the winning run when Sophomore Mike Marsh's smash hit to shortstop was miss handled allowing Robey to score the winning run from second base. Junior Jeremy VerHoef earned his first varsity pitching win throwing a complete game, allowing just 4 hits and striking out 7. Senior Zach Shoemaker and Mike Marsh, again, led the offense each producing 2 hits and a double.
