        No less than 5 bunts scored 3 of the 4 runs for the Cougars as they defeated North County, 4-2. Junior pitcher Jeremy VerHoef (3-2) was cruising through the game, allowing just 1 hit and no runs with 2 outs in the 7th inning. But the Knights continued to battle when two consecutive walks and two consecutive hits plated two runs before VerHoef struck out the last batter to end the game. Senior Justin Robey went 2-4 with a double and a single, a stolen base and 2 runs scored. Senior Zach Shoemaker had 2 RBI, both coming on sacrifice bunts. Also having an RBI were senior Dylan Porter and sophomore Shane Troyer. Senior Chris Fleig was 2-3 with a double and a run scored.
