4/22/08            vs. Annapolis Panthers     at Chesapeake

        A 5 run first inning did not tell the story as the Cougars just get by Annapolis, 7-6. The Panthers came back with a 6-run effort in the top of the 3rd to take the lead, 6-5. But starting pitcher senior Justin Robey (W-2-1) and reliever senior Dylan Porter(Sv-1) held off the Annapolis hitters the rest of the game, and Chesapeake struck for 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to secure the win. Sophomore catcher Shane Troyer's sacrifice bunt scored both runs in the 4th. Junior Jeremy VerHoef lead the offense with a double, single, an RBI and scored two runs. Seniors Justin Robey & Zach Shoemaker each had 2 hits and 2 stolen bases. Others having RBI were senior Chris Fleig and sophomores Mike Marsh & Andy Mildenberger.
