Player Information -
Casey Marshall
(#1 singles) won 5 of her JV matches and 2 of her Varsity matches this season. She played an outstanding match against Sacred Heart (which she was considered the underdog), but stood tall as she finished the match 6-4, 6-4. Gabby D’Aniello (#2 singles) won every match but 1 this season and played her opponents tough to the end, but… with a smile on her face every time. She defeated Sacred Heart’s #2 player in a 3 setter – 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (8) which was a nail bitter. Paige Kirk and Taylor Coyle played #1 doubles for most of the season and grew stronger as a team each time they played. They finished their JV doubles against Collegiate with a 6-0, 6-3 victory. Paige and Taylor also had the opportunity to play Varsity for the last match of the season. Even though they were not partners, they both won their Varsity matches as well. Bailey Knotts came to the team as a beginner, but ended the season as a tough competitor. She played positions of #1 & #3 singles and #1 and #2 doubles. Sienna Palombino worked very hard on the court to add to CAL’s wins in both #3 singles and doubles. Sarah Shrout and Sydney English made a great doubles team as they defeated schools such as Evangel and S. Oldham. Megan Naiser took 6 matches this season with playing #3 singles and #1 and #2 doubles. She had an outstanding season as well.CAL Season’s Match Scores
