Seneca Valley's baseball team won another game in their final at bat on Monday, defeating Class 4A Magruder on the road in nine innings by a 6-5 score.

Erich Bacchus picked up his first career win on the mound and also drove in Lorenzo Christy with the winning run in the top of the 9th. Tyler Klitsch picked up a save with a scoreless final inning.

Brian Black provided the team with another strong starting outing, staking the team to a 5-3 lead before the Colonels rallied to tie the game in the 7th. Mark Henderson and Christy both scored two runs, Russell Main drove in 2 runs, Bacchus had two hits, and Klitsch, Black, and Bacchus all smacked doubles.

Magruder (1-1) was led by Sean Weddell (2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored) at the plate and Josh Kohn (5.1 IP, 2 ER, 6 BB, 8 K) on the mound. Matt Luber also stroked two hits and leadoff man Nick Fliakas went 3-for-4.

The Eagles (2-0), who previously beat Gaithersburg, will take on yet another 4A powerhouse on the road Thursday at Quince Orchard.
