The Barstow boys team opened this season with the first SK of the year. Unfortunately, many of the team members had other obligations to fill on this date. With only four team memebers able to make the trip, they were not able to score as a team.  Overall, the athletes that did compete ran exceptionally well. Matt Matula and David Kessler led the team placing 18th and 20th to make the top 20 list. Conor McMahan and Alex Johnson were next, placing 47th and 62nd in a field of over 100 runners.
