It was a tough day at the races for the girls cross country team, due to Coach White thinking that Clinton was an hour drive, not an hour fifteen. The girls arrived at the meet with not much warm-up time. I would like to apologize to the team for my mistake. A tough course proved to be a challenge and our girls team did not race as they would have liked to. Even though times were not what we wanted them to be, the girls did manage to have three girls finish in the top 20 and medal. Natalie Hays led her team with a fourth place finish, Brooke Kawamoto finished 10th and Mackenzie Devins came in 13th. Teammates Kathleen White, 22nd and Erin Bax, 24th, came in for the team to place third overall. The girls were disappointed by their times, but I was not disappointed by their efforts. We are looking forward to the Crossroads Conference meet, this Saturday, to redeem our times.
