PATRIOT NATION . . . We had a nice Senior Day Ceremony before the game and we all enjoyed the BBQ afterward.  Thank you Kris Colyer for all your efforts organizing this event; we all enjoyed it.  Our Seniors stepped up today leading the charge in an 11-1 victory.  Despite a wet field and constant drizzle throughout the game our pitching and offense sizzled.  Senior Keegan Bennett got the start today and delivered a gem going 5 innings, giving up one run off three hits to earn the win.  Seniors Matt Weik, Brian Kim, Derek Buchanan, Eric Etter and Kyle Arbaugh provided the offensive power today.  Weik played unselfish baseball moving a runner to third base on a tough 2-2 pitch.  Etter and Kim delivered clutch hits to drive in critical runs and Buchanan got a timely hit.  Arbaugh executed a perfect Suicide bunt and a beautiful Fake-bunt-slash to score the decisive run securing our 10 run mercy rule victory in the 5th inning.  I anticipated the ceremony might be a distraction, but the boys got focused and took care of business between the white lines.  Our last league game is Wednesday 4PM at LHS Field.  We play Mercer Island.  Hope to see you on the diamond this Wednesday!  It’s a great day to be a Patriot!!!
