Saints hold onto a 4-2 halftime lead to get past the Owls of Towson Catholic Saturday.  The final regular season tune up for both clubs before the playoffs begin May 12.  With the win the Saints earn a 1st round bye and #1 seed.  They will await the winner of the Mt Carmel (#4) vs Towson Catholic (#5) quarterfinal game.

The defense leads the way as the offense sputtered throughout the day.  Goalie Sam Coulter made 12 saves while Tyler Class, John Jenkins and defensive midfielder Jay Davis limit the owls to 4 goals.

"We didn't take a lot of high percentage shots and had to play a lot of defense today" Coach Zopp explains, "We are fortunate to come out on top, this was not a good performance for us.  We have to prepare for the winner of the #4/#5 game this week."

Sophomore Rubbie Rupp led all scorers with 4 goals and 1 assist while Senior Cody Chamberlain added 2 goals and 1 assist to go along with Senior Jimmy Woods 2 goals and Senior Ryan McNamara 2 assists.  Senior goalie Sam Coulter turned away 12 shots.

"Sam and the defense kept us in the game."   said Zopp.

TC was led by Goalie Eric Dougan's 14 saves, Mike Friedel who had 2 goals while Bryce Parrish and Cory Brown added a goal a piece and Brian Rolfina added 1 assist.

TC will travel to Mt Carmel Tuesday afternoon for a quarterfinal match up.
